Mubasher: Qatari-based telecom group Ooredoo on Monday announced that it has appointed Hassan Marafih as a CEO of small and medium business unit (SMBU), replacing Khalid Al Mahmoud, who has retired from his post, according to a filing to Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).
“I want to wish Mr. Hassan Marafih success at this exciting period which will witness a lot of developments and challenges in the telecoms industry,” Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani, Ooredoo’s CEO, commented.
For the first half of 2018, net profits of the dual-listed company on both the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) and the ADX declined 37.2% to QAR 688.92 million, from QAR 1.96 billion in H1-17.
